Getting Involved


Home Grown Is open to ALL community groups in Suffolk. Registration is FREE and entitles you to:-

  • A FREE advice session about arts events that you would like to organise in your community.
  • Ongoing support and advice via phone and email.
  • The opportunity to book a show from the on-line directory of professional performers.
  • Inclusion of your Home Grown event in the Home Grown events brochure which is distributed throughout the whole of Suffolk.
  • Inclusion of your event on the Home Grown website.
  • Access to the resource section of the website. This provides information on all aspects of arts event management and planning.
  • An invitation to attend Promoters' events - promoters days.

Home Grown is subsidised by Suffolk County Council and Arts Council England East until 2011 after which time there may be a small charge for this service.
 

New Promoters


Home Grown is offering 10 groups the opportunity to be part of Home Grown's New Promoters scheme. This is a FREE service that will guide first time Promoters through all aspects of event organisation and promotion. In addition to receiving the benefits of all Homegrown groups, members of the New Promoters Scheme will receive the following:
  • Initial consultation session to assess the needs of your group.
  • Induction training session covering the main areas of event management.
  • Reducing the risk of the event through Creative Arts East's guarantee against loss scheme.
  • Marketing training session focusing on devising an action plan for the group's first event.
  • Receive marketing materials for events booked through Homegrown.
  • Ongoing support and advice via phone and email.
  • Follow up meeting after the group's first event.

Mentoring

Groups who already have experience of organising events and would like to take their event to an ambitious new level have the opportunity to join the mentoring scheme. Creative Arts East will match you up with a mentor who will meet with you regularly and support you through the development and delivery of your project.
